EDCI Blog Post #2

“In order to learn, you’ve got to have an open mind.” -Rubyanne

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to do it. Coming into this class, I knew that technology in education is highly important, but I didn’t know if I would be able to learn all of these tools and concepts. After actually completing these assignments, I feel like I will be able to keep up with all of the changes technology brings.

Over the last few weeks, I have learned about so many different technology tools to use in the classroom! I honestly did not think I could use technology in my lesson plans every day, but I have learned of different ways to incorporate it. These technology tools can be used for a variety of subjects, in a variety of ways, and I think will benefit each student.

Since my last post, I have actually learned how to create these tools. Not only have I learned about their benefits, but I’m now knowledgeable on how to incorporate them into the classroom. I have learned how to create an interactive poster to integrate into lessons, use Google Sheets for grading purposes, and use Google Forms, Socrative, and Kahoot! for assessments.

This class has introduced me to all of these terrific teacher tools and I’m pretty excited about it. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next. I can’t wait to use these in my classroom!
